Rachael Nelson joins the team as Community Manager of The Ranch at Star Pass in Tucson, Az. Nelson’s originally from Katy, Texas, a suburb of Houston. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from The University of Houston, Rachael entered the apartment industry.
After becoming a Regional Manager in 1995, Rachael has mostly focused on re-positioning and renovating distressed conventional portfolios. This included properties in Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee. She moved to New Orleans two months after Hurricane Katrina for those renovations. She has managed seven communities, 2200 units, in three different cities.
Rachael is a proud breast cancer survivor, 5 years this last month. She is a strong advocate of early detection and spends much of her free time fundraising and raising awareness.
In her free time, she enjoys to travel. Both foreign and domestic.
Alejandra Yepiz was promoted to the Leasing and Marketing Manager at The Ranch at Star Pass in Tucson, AZ. Alejandra has been on the leasing team at The Ranch for close to two years and is very grateful for the opportunity. She is excited to show what The Ranch team can really do! Originally from Rio Rico, AZ, Yepiz moved to Tucson to attend The University of Arizona. She recently graduated with a BS in Family Studies and Human Development with a minor in Spanish. In her spare time she enjoys reading and volunteering in her community.

Ally Herron will take over as Regional Manager in Tucson and Marketing Director at University Village in Columbus. Herron has been the Leasing and Marketing Director at University Village for the past year. Before Homestead U, Herron was with Crawford Hoying where she worked as the Corporate Trainer and Property Manager at Olentangy Commons. She brings to Homestead U 14 years of experience in the industry. Herron graduated from Ohio State University and LOVES OSU! She is married and has 2 furry kids, Sadie, a 5 year old Sheltie and Cassidy, a 1 year old Collie. She has 5 nieces and nephews and loves to hang out with them whenever possible! She is very thrilled to join the team and brings a lot of enthusiasm with her!
Bailey Zygutis will take over as Leasing Consultant at The U in Tucson, AZ. She will be our on campus representative for both NorthPointe Apartments and The Ranch at Star Pass.
Zygutis is an Arizona native, born and raised the beautiful city of Scottsdale. She moved to Tucson in 2008 to attend the University of Arizona (GO CATS!) and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences in 2012.
After college, Bailey decided to stay in Tucson, working as a Personal Trainer, which led to her first marketing job as a sales rep for a supplement company called Cellucor. If her past career choices didn’t make it obvious, health and fitness has long been a love of hers.
She has also had numerous customer service-related positions and absolutely loves working with others!
A good friend of hers introduced me to the Homestead U apartments here in Tucson. She said “I was very impressed. I can tell you from personal experience that there really are no other Tucson living communities that can compare (in quality, value, price, etc.), so when I was offered the job at The U, I was all in!

David Rivera will take over as Business Manager at The Ranch at Star Pass in Tucson, AZ.
David brings to Homestead U experience in leasing, marketing, student housing, real estate, social networking, accounting and customer service. Originally from Tucson, he studied at the Tucson Accelerated High School and Pima Community College.
In his spare time David enjoys to be outdoors, hiking and remodeling houses.
