University Village Maintenance Manager, Donna Grove, has donated more than 12 inches of her hair to Locks of Love for the 4th time. This time it was 18 1/2 inches!
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
Donna Said “I have a firm belief that when you give a part of yourself, not only do you grow as a person and soul, it will eventually come back to you in a way you never imagined. You can give time to a child or lonely elder, money to someone in need when you have it, patience when someone really needs it, a smiley face at the end of an email or note, a quiet ear or shoulder when someone needs to vent, or simply hair that can help make a child with cancer feel less singled out. And a smile with a nice comment to a stranger goes a long way (especially those strangers that you see every day and just walk past)!”Share
