Meet the New Homestead U VP of Operations

Posted by:

Holly Golebiowski, VP of Operations for Homestead U

Holly joins the team as the VP of Operations for Homestead U. She is a graduate of Tiffin University with a BA in Business Administration. She is from the village of New Riegel, Ohio, that is small in size, but known throughout the state for their BBQ Ribs. The village was so small that they did not field a high school football team and there were 32 people in her graduating class!

Holly has over 17 years of industry experience.  In her career, she has served in the full spectrum of operating roles, including several on-site and corporate management positions with such organizations as Peak Campus Management, College Park Communities, the student housing division of GMH Communities Trust (NYSE: GCT), and Dinerstein Companies.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband on their boat. When not on the boat she is typically spending time with one of her 7 brothers or 2 sisters that she is very close with.

Appreciate the small things and be present in the moment. What do I mean? Well, it seems today, younger people are about immediate gratification. Instead, why not appreciate every small moment? We don’t get to stay on this crazy, wonderful planet forever and the greatest pleasure can be found in the most mundane of activities. Instead of sending a text, pick up the phone and call someone. Call your mother or best friend, have a conversation about nothing in particular. Those are the moments to hold onto.

Angie Tsitouris is the Director of First Impressions at Homestead. Each month she will share a little life wisdom.

The Quest for the Ben Franklin Award Begins!

Posted by:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Spring cleaning at Homestead America!

The 9th annual Ben Franklin contest was kicked off in style. As last year’s winner, the Team at Shaker Square took the ball and (wrapped it in saran wrap) and ran with it.  A great team building day was had by all!

The kickoff marks the official start of our industry’s busy leasing season.  The Ben Franklin contest is a fun way of appreciating all the hard work that goes into preparing our sites for the season.  We pride ourselves on providing the best resident life experience possible and that often starts with curb appeal.  We want our residents to appreciate a beautiful place to come home to and our guests to feel at home and want to make their new home with us.

Thus, the dawn of the Ben Franklin contest!  In June awards will be given for Best Curb Appeal and for Best Team Effort so stay tuned!

Good luck everyone!

The team swarmed the Hollywood Casino in red again this year for the 2017 CAA Expo. The Monopoly themed event was a success and a great opportunity for our leasing and maintenance managers to connect with vendors. “The bus ride over to El Vaquero was a great opportunity for me to bond with the Homestead team members. I’m looking forward to next year’s expo!” said Shannon Latsko of University Village.
